GO TO:

Welcome to my Reef page!  Here you'll learn a little about my tank and take a deeper look into my hobby.  These pages will always be under construction, so check back often to see what is new.  I love to help anyone I can, so if you have any questions, don't be shy to ask.  Enjoy.

My tank is a mixed reef with a combination of soft corals and hard corals, reef invertebrates, and fish.  Although the main focus of the tank is definitely on SPS corals.

The tank is a 75 Gallon AGA reef ready tank.  I have ran about every type of reef equipment on it and went though many changes over the years.  Some for the worst and some for the best.  The goal is to get a stable, efficient, and a self sustaining system.  I'm getting closer to that goal everyday.  Its a lot of fun to go through all the trials and tribulations.  Its defiantly an interesting and educational hobby.

This site is ongoing project that will mimic the tank's progress. Drop me and email at jwshelton@mchsi.com with any feedback or questions about anything.

Below are actual real time readings from the Lighthouse controller hooked up to the tank.  Currently the Temperature and pH are being monitored with ORP coming in the future.  The AC power strip is also being monitored to see what sockets are wither ON or OFF.  Im also recording the various stats in 24 hour and 7 day graphs.  The graphs are real helpful in seeing a history of the tank to illustrate any potential problems.
